18-yr old Rose’s life is devastated - as sole carer for her disabled father, her own dreams of pursuing a career or finding love are fast fading. In desperation, Rose borrows from pagan knowledge and casts a spell.

When Lawrence makes one last-ditched attempt to put things right for the woman he loves, he faces both a past – and a family - that threaten to destroy him. As the opportunity to pursue her own dreams suddenly open up for Rose, she discovers just how far she is prepared to go to keep him.

I’m really pleased to be able to announce the launch of my latest novel – ‘Falling For You.’  This title is now available on Amazon kindle. Isn’t the cover stunning? Eighteen months in the writing, and considerably longer than any of my other novels, I’m particularly excited about this title. Just the logistics of writing over a third of the novel where the only action that takes place is between a young couple in a remote, snow-bound location and with no other distraction was quite an interesting challenge! It made for a lot of close-up, one-on-one writing where the characters were given full rein to explore the intimacy of the moment.

Here is what I said about it in a recent interview;

'I deliberately wanted to slow the action of the story right down. I know that as consumers we are used to TV and books delivering very fast-paced, high-stakes action, and my earlier works – eg Little Miracles, A Sister's Gift, do just that. But the faster we go, in stories as well as life, the more we miss out on the subtle nuances. We miss out on the chance to experience what we are really feeling, right there, right in the moment. When people fall in love, one of the main sensations is a heady desire to not miss out on a single second, to remain in the 'now', to really experience and savour everything thoroughly, not rush through it like you would a take-away meal and gallop onto your next activity. No; when we are in love, we want to stay exactly where we are! So I put two young strangers in an isolated ruin, trapped by the snow, with absolutely NO distractions and them let them fall in love, organically. They don't get to text each other once J. For that reason, it is a much 'slower' book. I intended it to be. I hope my readers will appreciate that.'

I'm really pleased to announce that 'Falling For You' is currently (26th Jan) at #5 in the UK kindle bestsellers list. Exciting times!

For those who really, really can't do without a physical copy of the book in their hands to read, I'm pleased to tell you that a paperback is planned for the spring. Looks like this might be a little later than first announced but I'm working on it!
