May 2009
I'm really pleased to see that the German version of Pandora's Box is also out this month - entitled Gezeiten der Hoffung - Tides of Hope. Let's hope it does really well over there.
May is my favourite month – just a hop, skip and a jump away from summer (or should that be winter – with the winds blowing outside in Kent at the moment we might be going backwards?). Whatever the weather, I’ll be in London on Wednesday 13th May for the RNA Summer party. I’ll be the speaker this year, talking about what winning the New Writer’s award has meant to me. I shall be telling them that - apart from raising my profile hugely – the award was particularly significant to me because I won it writing precisely the book I wanted to write, and doing it how I wanted to do it. What could be a better validation than that?
Hard to believe that this time last year I just had my first book out and now I have two under my belt and the third to be delivered in the next few months. Finding ‘time’ to fit in all the things I need to fit into my day doesn’t get any easier, but I can hardly complain about that…
