In July I spent a lovely summer evening at the Harper Collins author party at the John Madejski gardens (Victoria and Albert Museum). This gorgeous venue was packed out this year, and a good place for celebrity-spotting if you’re that way inclined…
Later on that week, the RNA conference at Winchester brought an opportunity to catch up with old writer friends and make some new ones. And I had the pleasure of being presented with my RNA New writer’s scheme award trophy all over again (inscribed with my name this time)!
I’m now concentrating on Little Miracles – book two – scheduled to be out in Feb ’09. It’s about the heart-wrenching effects on a young couple when the unthinkable happens – their toddler son is presumed drowned on a beach in Spain after a freak wave; the tragedy threatens to reach into every corner of their lives and the father is keen to grieve, put it behind them and move on - only the mother is not so sure…
The cover for this is gorgeous - will post it up here as soon as I get the go-ahead.
